So it’s time to think about the Baby Shower Decorations which will set the overall ambiance. When deciding on what type of decor to use, it’s best to first determine your overall theme. The theme will set the overall feel for the shower, and it’s an easy way to ensure that you stay on track while creating the ambiance.
Depending on where you’re hosting the baby shower, whether it’s at someone’s home or at a restaurant/hotel, I have put together some great decorating tips and have included my recommended site to purchase all of your baby shower decorations.
Color Selection: The most important aspect in setting the overall ambiance is to select the color(s) for your decor. If you have selected a specific theme design I would suggest you incorporate 2 colors from that theme plus white or cream. I would not go beyond 3 colors, as the theme may get blurred. Another alternative is to choose a main color (ie. pink) and select 2 other shades of pink which will all compliment each other. Just be sure that all of your baby shower decorations that you purchase correspond to your selected theme color.

Baby shower games can be both silly and entertaining. Some are intended to embarrass the mom- or dad-to-be, but others can really be fun and may even teach you something. It is up to you (the host) whether you would like to incorporate baby shower games (be sure to ask the mom-to-be for input as well). Not all showers have games. but they are a great way to break the ice and to have guests interact with one another.
Here are a few tips to keep in the back of your mind when planning to incorporate games at the baby shower:
Number of Guests: Be sure to select games that can easily be played based on the number of guests.

PERFECTLY PERIWRINKLE
This is one of my favorite baby shower theme’s that is perfect for either a baby girl or boy. It’s a classic color which can also be fun and modern.
Invitations & Decorations:
I have found some beautifully inspired periwrinkle decor and invites to create this theme.
Tables:
The goal is to keep everything minimalistic only using the 2 colors: periwrinkle and white. Tables can be draped in either perwrinkle or white table cloth.
Center Pieces:
Center-Pieces can either be a beautiful arrangement of periwrinkle and white colored flowers (Some of my favorite flowers include: tulips, hydragias and peonies) or periwrinkle and white balloons.
Favors:
My recommended favors that compliments this theme include: the Frost Glass Heart Candles, the Silken Tea Infuser Favor with Decorative Leaf and Tray (as seen on Oprah), the TeaTime Heart Tea Infuser Favor in Teatime Gift Box or the Lavender Garden Gel Candle.
Games:
It’s always fun to incorporate games at a shower, especially to break the ice with the guests. Some fun games include: Animal Babies Match, the Baby Shower Word Twist, or the Baby’s Family Trivia.
Dessert:
If you are planning to bake some dessert, I would highly recommend using any one of the “Do-It-Yourself” dessert kits, which are so easy to use and creates a very professional looking dessert.
Gift Ideas:
You can have fun with the theme’s color scheme by requesting that guests purchase one item in either white or perwrinkle.
Tip:
A great gesture would be to ask guests to bring in 1 flower that is either white or periwinkle, which will create a bouquet of flowers for the mom-to-be.
